Agreed. I am sure he was a nice guy and it was a tragic accident, but everyone is acting like he was a martyr. The fact remains that they were doing 100+ mph on public roads.

uh huh, and what if I said "ok, I'll slow down…" and boom, too late. Basically, from all accounts, they crashed almost as soon as they sped up. And smashing someone's head would lead to… what again? Same result. For all you know, he was as smart as you are and actually did smash the guy's head and that could have been why they crashed.

You need to think this kind of stuff through before leaving such incredibly insensitive and rude posts. Two people died here. The one who's picture you posted was blameless, or the evidence suggests that he was… you can use your little imagination to come up with a far fetched scenario in which he somehow shares the blame, but that insanity is only in your head.

Of course you've focused on the one point that barely matters, because you know you have nothing else. Paul did not cause this crash and you've insulted him, even though he's recently dead. You can either fess up and realize what you've done or you can keep trolling away. There's a lot less shame in the apology than in blind self defense. People might even learn from you and be thankful to you for the experience.

I, for one, have never so much as gone a single mile an hour over the speed limit, let alone gone 100 mph on a back road that I knew was empty in my new car just for shits and giggles. That way I get to keep my arbitrary sense of moral superiority.
